Lee Gains His Diploma!

The whole team at Excel would like to say congratulations to Lee, one of our Finance Assistants who has just recently completed his AAT Level 6 Diploma in Accounting.

After leaving school at the age of 17 in August of 2014, Lee turned down offers from the University of Glasgow and Strathclyde University, feeling he would prefer to study while working. He then began working as a Trainee Accounts Assistant for GTG Training and gained an SVQ in Business Administration during this time.

He then joined the Excel Vending team in March 2016 and it was agreed that Lee would be studying for his AAT Level 6 Diploma in Accounting while working full time for us.

As a company who are constantly moving forward, professional development is very important to us at Excel and we are keen to support our staff with training wherever possible so they can enjoy a successful and rewarding career. After all, the key element to our success is the quality of our people and the high level of service they provide to our valued customers.

Lee stated:

“Excel have been a great support to me when it comes to studying and working. They allow me appropriate leave on exam days and my manager is always willing to sit down and go through anything with me whenever I need help.

I feel the diploma will make a difference to me in the future as it will allow me to progress to the next level (AAT Advanced diploma) and I will also be able to apply the skills I have learned from studying in the workplace.

We are very proud of Lee and wish him continued success in his studies. Well done Lee!
